Artificials Share is made by Artificials.net (Daril Pratomo Sriramdanu). This page explains what the app does with information about you.
1. How sharing works
Files, photos, videos, text and room content travel directly from one device to another over your local network, a phone hotspot, a direct phone-to-phone link or Bluetooth. Every connection is encrypted (TLS 1.3) and tied to the code you scanned or trusted, and you approve every incoming transfer. Nothing passes through Artificials.net or any third party.
2. What stays on your device
The device name you choose, the device's encryption key (in the system's secure key storage), trusted devices, transfer history, saved boards, settings and a local diagnostics log stay only on your device. The diagnostics log has addresses, codes, names and file contents removed and leaves the device only if you export it yourself. Uninstalling the app deletes all of this. Files you received stay where you saved them.
3. What the app does not do
It does not collect, keep or share personal data, device identifiers, location, contacts or usage data. It never reads your contacts, clipboard or whole photo library: it opens only the items you pick. Received files are never opened automatically. It contains no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking code.
4. Permissions
Local network, nearby devices and Wi-Fi: to find and connect to the devices you choose. Bluetooth: for Bluetooth Lite transfers. Camera: only to scan the other device's pairing code; nothing is recorded. Photos (add only, iPhone): when you tap Save to Photos. Notifications: transfer progress and a note when a transfer finishes. On Android 12 and earlier, Android requires the location permission to search for nearby devices; the app never reads your location. You can deny any permission.
5. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
6. App stores
Google Play and the App Store may collect information when you download the app, under their own privacy policies.
7. Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear here with a new date, and the update's notes will say so.
